Bamburi Nature Walk
We got up early (still hadn't got used of these bright sunny mornings) and grabbed breakfast. Then I set off and left Lisa to try and regain her sanity (during this holiday she is spending too much time with me and she's just not used to it), I set off for Buccaneer Diving once more. The dive today was on a different Coral Reef and this one had more life in it, though the variety of fish life was far less in comparison to the previous days dive. After 40 minutes we surfaced (following a 3-minute safety stop at 5 meters) and headed back to the resort. The boat ride was as much fun as the dive, quite a powerful dive boat they have at Buccaneer Diving and fun to be aboard.

I met up Lisa and we with sat by the pool trying to cool off for a while, and then had lunch. We have taken to having lunch at the snack bar by the pool and I have become rather partial to their Gourmet Burgers. Oh, and the chilli sauce that you get with just about everything has become an addiction for me.

Oi fatso!
With Mark and Gwin we went to Bamburi Nature Walk. It sits on the site of an old limestone quarry which has now been replanted with trees and turned into a Nature Centre. They have all sorts of animals there including Crocodile and Hippopotamus, animals we hadn't seen on Safari. After a short walk through the woodland we turned up at the reception where we were assigned a guide who explained the work they did there, and showed us around the park. One of the ways they raise revenue, is by the farming of Fish and Crocodile for meat. It was good to see the grounds rejuvenated so well following the extensive quarrying that had taken place there. After flooding a few years ago, the crocodiles all took advantage and swam away, it took a good while 'til they were recaptured and an even longer time before the visitor levels picked up again. Apparently being eaten by the exhibits was not featured in the advertising brochure and people were not keen to be the first to take advantage of this extra attraction.

Getting back to the hotel, we jumped in the pool to cool off and headed off to dinner. More Tusker while being entertained by an acrobatic team and then off to bed.
